Escape32 ESC Tune page
This is for ESC tunes provided by some of the best supporters out there and some from us directly. will update as we grab them!
Keep in mind these will get you close but rigs will still need fine tuning

Mofo nano beast
Startup Power / Min Power: 12% – 15%
Why: The Nano Beast needs just enough kick to overcome the magnets at a standstill without jumping forward. If it stutters, bump this up by 1% increments.
Motor Timing: Auto or 2° – 5° (Low)
Why: Lower timing maximizes torque and efficiency at ultra-low RPMs, which is exactly where you want a crawler to live. Higher timing will cause unnecessary heat.
Demag Compensation: Off or Low
Why: Usually not required for low-RPM crawler applications; keeping it low prevents premature desync mitigation that can disrupt smooth slow-rolling.
2. Crawler Braking & Throttle
Drag Brake Force: 100%
Why: Instant hold on steep inclines.
Drag Brake Ramp: Fast / Uncontrolled (or a very short ramp time like 50ms)
Why: You want the truck to stop exactly when you let off the stick, preventing unwanted roll-downs.
Throttle Linearization: Enabled
Why: Smooths out the throttle curve for a more predictable trigger feel during technical lines.
3. Protection Settings
Low Voltage Cutoff (LVC): 3.5V per cell (For a 2S LiPo, set the total threshold to 7.0V)
Current Limit: Disabled or maxed out (e.g., 30A+)
Why: The Nano Beast draws low amps, but spikes can happen when wedged in rocks. You don't want the ESC cutting power mid-climb.
Quick Optimization Tips
If you experience "cogging" (stuttering) under load: Slightly increase the Min Power or check your gear mesh to ensure there isn't mechanical binding.
Mofo Nano BAM
To get the ultimate low-speed control and eliminate low-end stuttering, use these exact settings in your ESCape32 tuning app:
1. Core Settings
Motor Poles (telem_poles): 14
Must be set to 14 so the ESC tracks your motor speed accurately.
Timing (timing): 16
Keeps the motor running cool while maximizing bottom-end torque.
2. The Slow-Crawl Zone (Sine Mode)
Sine Range (sine_range): 25
Dedicates the first 25% of your throttle strictly to ultra-smooth, silent creeping.
Sine Power (sine_power): 11
Gives the motor enough juice to push over rocks at a literal snail's pace. If the motor feels warm after a long run, turn this down to 9 or 10.
Startup Power (duty_spup): 15
Ensures a clean, jerk-free start right off neutral.
3. Battery Protection (Cutoff)
Voltage Protection (prot_volt):
If running a 2S Battery: Set to 28
If running a 3S Battery: Set to 35
Mofo pancake motor:
The Quick Setup
Motor Poles: 12
Motor Timing: 0 or 5 (Low timing gives you the best low-end torque and smoothness).
Stall Protection ERPM (prot_stall): 3000 (This is the magic number that stops the motor from hesitating when it wedges against a rock).
Throttle Mode (throt_mode): 1 (This sets it to Forward/Reverse for crawling).
Drag Brake (duty_drag): 40% to 60% (Start at 50%. If the truck rolls down a hill when you let go of the trigger, turn it up. If it stops too violently, turn it down).
How to fine-tune it:
If you pull the throttle just a tiny bit and the motor shudders instead of turning, look for the Minimum Throttle Power (or startup power) setting. Bump that up a tiny bit at a time until the truck starts rolling perfectly smoothly.
